And so it goes.......

The Office

Mine. Not the TV show.

That's where I am. My office. My studio. My little corner of the world (literally).

Didn't get too far on the organization yesterday. It will certainly be a 'project' that will take multi-days to complete. I'm ok with that. I'm actually feeling a little better about it's state after an email from my father. He read yesterday's post and felt compelled to tell me that the two of us were in good company
when it came to messy workplaces.

Apparently, I am not the only one.  Sure, mine is a mess right now.  There are piles and piles of stuff to sort through.

However, thanks to Dad, I can point out that Einstein's office was no organizational mecca.

Nor Mr. Buckley's.

(couldn't find credits for this, if you know, pleas email me so I can add them)

That said. I'd rather mine looked like this.

Or this.

This is screaming me. It's still my kind of messy, but in a much nicer way.

So this is my never ending task today.  Going to remove just about everything from my little corner and go from there.

How about you? What are you doing? Lounging? Laundry? Sledding? Sunning?

It's snowing here.  Only supposed to get a few inches. Later we're off to 10 Tobey (Mom and Dad's tonight) for the best linguine and clam sauce in the world. Nobody's beats my father's. It's the bomb. I'm drooling just thinking about it.

Back to the task at hand. People, there is much work to be done on this front.

I'm outta here.

  1. Snowing here too....making chicken soup and gonna hang a new chandy. Kind of the perfect day. Enjoy Dad's cooking!

    1. so........the new chandelier arrived? how exciting! not a bad way to spend the day at all.

i ended up moving from the office organization to a catch all closet/cabinet in kitchen so i could watch the bruins game
(:( bummer of an end. ). Ended up taking everything out and now painting first coat of white. YAY.

have a good night gazing at your new chandelier Amy.

  2. Snowing here too! I've got your stroganoff in the crock pot (the house smells so good), a pot of tea brewed (another of your great ideas), and am doing laundry, working on a custom order vendor apron, and hoping and praying to get my pile of paperwork filed finally. I love all three of those organized spaces, particularly the Pottery Barn one (that IS their furniture, right?). I would love for their catalog to just dump out all over my house.

    1. now that's an idea........sure, back the pottery barn truck right over here sir. why yes, you can just bring all of that in the back door and place right in that corner.

i think you'll like the stroganoff. it was pretty good.

    2. It was so good. The hubs LOVED it just like I thought he would. I'm sending it along to my mom. :)

You comments make my day. Thanks for taking the time to visit Mercantile Muse and for commenting. I really appreciate it. ~Pam
