What Inspires You Wednesday

Making Things Happen

Hi there gang. As you can see, today is What Inspires You Wednesday.

You know when I asked you last week, 'What Would You Do If Money Were No Object And Fear Was Just A Word'? Well, I saw an interesting pattern in the answers.

It seems a few of us would like to 'do more good' whether it was a helping families that need a boost or creating an animal sanctuary for abused animals.

This made me think of this video that I watched a few weeks back with Marie Forleo interviewing Adam Braun.  Brief synopsis. Braun had a life altering experience that made him rethink everything.

It made him realize that now was the time to make a difference and that he could start right where he was.

Check it out.  I think you'll be inspired to just 'do what you can' in the moment and not to let anything hold you back.

Now, don't just discuss amongst yourselves.......discuss in the comments below. I'd love to hear what you think about Mr. Braun and his organization and starting from nothing.

Do we put too much emphasis on the need for money to 'make things happen'?

On the same topic, I saw this program once about people at crossroads in their life who needed some emotional support.  They stayed in a house together and got the support they needed, from each other and from counselors. They also had to do exercises. One person was challenged on the financial front and they had a 'wealth' advisor- I think it may have been Guy Kawasaki work with them. He gave them $1 and challenged them to multiply it a hundred times over in a matter of 24 hours. Sounds out of reach, right? Well, it wasn't.  The person created a poetry slam event, found a place to hold it for free, marketed to people in the street, packed the house and made money. In 24 hours.

Just something to think about when we're thinking about what would we do if money were no object. Maybe it rarely is. Maybe it is just our perceptions about money.

What do you think?

Make it a great day, it's a great day to have.

Ciao for now,
