I'm so glad you're here. I'm Pam. I am a full-time creative. I've had my own Adv/Marketing/PR business for 19+ years. I know, can you believe it? I grew up on the seacoast of NH, and went to college in the Bronx. I thought I was going to be 'Mary Tyler Moore' - single gal in the big city after school, but I met my husband G along the way and we've been back where I grew up ever since. He's a transplanted Dubliner which means half our family is here and half our family is overseas.
One thing I can tell you with certainty is that I have creativity in my blood. I've always been that way. I remember my first business venture was painting and selling rocks door to door to the neighbors. It's true. You'll still find me creating on a daily basis whether it's for my 3D business, or my etsy shop, Bates Mercantile Co.. Any given day I could be designing a logo or a business card, writing a press release, creating a press or media kit, putting together a direct email or planning, designing and implementing advertising. And just about everything in between. What I wish I didn't have to say, is that I'm pretty much the last one on my list when it comes to all of those things.
I blog about this creative life of mine and all that inspires me- design (interior and graphic), art, handmade, photography, nature, places and people.
As far as life in general goes, it's just G, me and our 14.5 year old dog Lucan in our little cottage in the country (so much for Mary Tyler Moore). Add to that big group of family and friends. I enjoy sitting in my Adirondack and watching the sun go down over sunset meadows, hanging by the campfire out back, walking at the beach in my hometown (10 minutes away), watching old movies, reading, singing and dancing regardless of whether I'm good or not, visiting our homes away from home- NYC and Dublin, and doing anything for a laugh. That's what life is all about.
