After The Nor'Easter
We got more snow yesterday than they expected. A heavy, wet 12 inches. This is when I really, really, really love our neighbor Tom and his tractor.
So, there we were in the midst of a pretty strong Nor'easter, which not only took the homes I mentioned yesterday, down on Plum Island, it also swept the sweetest little fish shack cottages. The cottage have been at the top of North Hampton Beach forever. And they're at the beginning of my favorite beach route walk and also where I used to walk with my Grampy. Seeing them pushed right off their foundations was sad. What a mess.
Then, lo and behold, after all the storm action, it started to warm up. A lot. By then end of the day it was nearly 50 degrees.
And then...................Sunset Meadows.
Make you Saturday great.
Ciao for now,
You do capture all the colours of sunset. I pinned most if not all of your photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your efforts. They are much appreciated.
Paula
honestly, i think you'd have a hard time taking a really bad picture of the sunsets here at sunset meadows. than you SO much for pinning my stuff.....so so sweet of you!!! and your kind words put a smile on my face.
Deletesounds like us here in Charlottesville. We got a huge snowstorm which dumped a foot of heavy wet snow. Trees have been knocked over and almost hit our car by inches! Some people are without power but it has warmed up since. Today it was 60 degrees. Didn't even need a coat!
ReplyDeleteUGH Ayla....I saw that on the news. For some reason that I can't quite figure out, although it was heavy and wet, it didn't stick the trees as much as it should have. we lucked out on that end because seeing the start of the storm i thought for sure we'd lose some trees and power.
DeleteOh, beautiful! Lovely lovely photos.
ReplyDelete'sunset meadows' is such a bonus to where we live. and it's 'almost' time when i get to sit in my adirondack and watch the sunsets.............soon.....soon. At least that's what I keep telling myself until we get another 12 inches of snow.
DeleteWhat wild weather!
ReplyDeleteCrazy....we always say, if you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes.

ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful skies! We are still "enjoying" the remains of that storm. It dumped about 9-10 inches here before it headed east. It was fun and pretty. Today is rain and gray. Alfie and I slop through the slush and puddles when he needs to go out. Not my favorite weather.
ReplyDeleteSo funny isn't it..........we kind of measure time by the space in between each storm, especially in the winter!
DeleteI love that last picture! Just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh, it sure was beautiful sunset that night. We get a lot of them here, but so pretty against the white snow. thanks for being here maggie.
