Still Life: A Sure Sign

Spring is Almost Here

I bet most of you associate the color green with March, Ireland and St. Patrick's Day. Here's a secret (unless you've been to Ireland in March, then it's not a secret). March is when the daffodils bloom in Ireland. There are daffodils everywhere.  They're planted in mass groupings in the middles of the highways, in the center of roundabouts, at the entrances to estates and neighborhoods, in fields. Everywhere you look, bright sunshine-yellow daffodils greet you.

The Gman came across some straight from the Emerald Isle. They were mostly closed up still. I popped them in some water, and overnight they opened in all their ruffled glory.

There.

Now don't you feel better?

Sieze the day.

Ciao for now,
