Wait A Few Minutes
I'm sure New England isn't the only place they say, if you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes. It'll change.
However, it is a saying that fits perfectly in with the state of things here. In the span of about two weeks we've had -14F, 62F, a blizzard that brought 2.5 feet of snow, and this morning it was snowing again. To beat the band.
Unfortunately, the weathermen/women were right this time. It went from pretty darn cold to warm enough for rain in a matter of a couple of hours
and it has indeed changed over to rain. Such a bummer.
Sure was pretty while it lasted.
Inside the Bates Estate, my geranium is blooming again. Looked so pretty yesterday with the sun lighting it up.
Today......snow beyond the window.
The weather sure is fickle. Did you catch yesterday's pictures of the Blizzard? When it came down, it came down.
In other news, my etsy pal Olya, of oBo Creations is holding a 24 Hour giveaway. If you've admired her beautiful jewelry, here is a chance to win a piece. Get over their quick though, it's a FLASH giveaway and won't last long. It begins at 2pm est. What have you got to lose?
I'm working on design again today, and really enjoying this project. Don't you just love that?
Later, email marketing design for another client. What's hot in your corner of the world?
Ciao for now,
Pam ... your photos are brilliant. You have captured the magic of the snow perfect! Yes, it looks beautiful, if we can stay inside where it's warm ... or bundle up to go out for a few moments. gotta love the Kubota - we have a 4x4 one we use for gardening and trailing about the property. Mr. G. is hoping for a tractor like your neighbour's...
ReplyDeleteStay warm .. xo C. (HHL)
Hi Celia, oh girl, you don't even know how I love Tom's Kubota. It would have literally taken all day to dig out. It still took long even with the tractor.
DeleteI say, let Mr. G get the tractor..........he will be a happy man forever.
But you'll have too get him and oogah horn like Tom's. He likes to let us know he's on his way. :)
Remember last winter, we waited for a "shovelable" snow fall? hehehe.
ReplyDeleteWe had one in MD but not as much as yours.
Stay warm. :)
Hi Lili! so good to see you. Yes...last year was kind of a bummer. One biggo nor'easter on Halloween and one good storm at the end of the season. Not too much in between.
Delete'shovelable'.....is it in the dictionary yet? Love it~
Where you get snow we get torrential rain. And the fickle weather? Look up a song by Crowded House called Four Seasons in one day about my home city/town Melbourne. I used to wear shorts and tshirt to uni but with a fleece and jeans in my bag.
ReplyDeleteOh I know, your weather has been a bit loopy in past month as well.
Deletewe LOVE crowded house. I will listen to Four Seasons and think of you.
don't dream it's over is probably my fave crowded house

no worries on the warm.....that home office thing keeps you inside more than I'd like. I'd rather be out playing in the snow (which is now tamped down due to the rain we got on top of this morning's snow....maybe another storm at end of the week to make everything look pretty again, though it didn't make as big a mess as I thought it would).
DeleteOhhhh Pam, your pictures are always so pretty!! The snow looks so beautiful! Wishing you a lovely week, Xo, Ashley
