2014 Trend: It's All Here In Black & White

Classic Is Back

Here we are. Headlong into a new year and new trends. There has been a lot of talk all over the internet about Pantone's color forecast for the year, including Radiant Orchid, but that's not the only thing that's hot.

When all else fails, rely on a classic. Black and white. You'll find shades of it all over the place-- home decor, fashion, and art.  What I really like about black and white is that it never, ever goes out of style. You can count count on these colors, and as trends change, you can always pair them with new colors and they still work.

You can incorporate this hot trend in a multitude of ways and here are a few ideas.

sources:

1. the keep ; 2. lovely life; 3. dunlin home;
4. nordic design; 5. urban outfitters;  6. bates mercantile co.

Do you like the resurgence of black and white or are you ready for more color?

I hope you are warmer than we are today. It's gone from 50F yesterday, which was weird enough, to currently -16 below with the windchill this morning. Although, when I went out to help the dog navigate the newly re-frozen tundra, I thought it felt a heck of a lot colder.

Have a great day. It's a great day to have.

Ciao for now,
