Take A Walk With Us

Snow, snow, snow, snow, snow!

Hi guys. My downtime is nearly complete. We finally got snow. The prior storm, we happened to be on the snow/rain line so got more wet than white. This does not work for me.  The storm that rolled in yesterday afternoon, made me very happy.

We headed over to the field for a walk and by the time we were on our way back to the house, it was snowing. Fast and furios. It snowed to beat the band most of the night.  I'd say we ended up with 6-7 inches.

So sit back and enjoy a little Winter walk.

Did you see the deer? He said, 'Are you looking at me, because, if you're looking at me...........', and was off to the woods with his pal.

There were footprints of all kinds......deer, dog, cat, crow.

The fresh air was just what we needed.

When we got home, we hunkered down for the night while the sky dumped some white stuff.

This morning we woke to clearing skies.

And iciles.

And a little playtime while we shoveled the drive.

Now I'm going to see if I can do a little 'light reading'. Not really.........I'm going to have a look at my camera manual to see if I can learn a thing or two. Suffice it to say, the learning curve on this one is great so you'll have to bear with me.

Happy Day before New Year's Eve. Hope you're enjoying your Sunday in your corner of the world.

Ciao for now,

  1. Merry Christmas Pam!
    I am so jealous :(
You have snow and I don't.
Your pictures are beautiful. I spotted the deer before I had scrolled down.
Thank you for sharing. I always look forward to seeing you in my inbox.
I wish you all the best and a very Happy New Year!

    1. And the same to you Lily Anne....Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year. I am so happy about the snow.......we were so cheated in last storm. The deer as sibling that was to the left.......these two have been hanging around since July when they were very little. We think they were orphaned so it makes me happy when we see them. Thanks so much for the kind made my day.

  2. Dearest Pam Merry Christmas .... your photos look brilliant!!! Looks like your furbaby was quite happy at the snow too!! We finally got some snow and it is staying ... Wishing you and your family many blessings and an abundance of wonderful adventures for 2013!! Hugs and happy New Year C. (HHL)

    1. Celia.........I do hope you enjoyed some wonderful holiday time making memories. The best to you and many bright blessings for 2013. Who knows where it will take us!

  3. I loved the snowfall! We got about an inch of snow here in Charlottesville and it disappeared so quickly. Whenever I think of snow I think of just laying on the sofa with a cozy blanket and tea. Hope you had a wonderful holiday and good luck figuring out the camera.

    1. Hi Aylah, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. You got the laying on the sofa thing right. Exactly what's been happening around here. Nice and cozy by the fire.

Wishing you much success in 2013!

  4. oh pretty...soft snow like that. but I don't want it at my house. lol

    1. it's funny, it was quite wet for awhile, but ended soft and fluffy. so pretty and sparkly. Love it when it's fresh and new.

  5. ho ho ho! That looks super lovely! I especially like the dark dark branches against the white /grey skies!

    1. Oh yes, I love that one too. It was a perfect blank canvas to set those branches against. Loving your new digs and your pictures from always.

Wishing you all the best in 2013, and many wonderful memories in your new home Cari.

  6. Your snow is beautiful. We are still mostly brown in Chicagoland.

    Happy New Year!!
I wish you a happy, healthy, and successful New Year.

    Everyday Inspired

    1. I would have thought you'd gotten hit with the storm before at least........must have dipped under you. Probably won't be brown for long.
