Working On The Weekend
If there was only more time in the day, yes? Since there isn't, I'm busy at my desk today. Working on photographs and adding them to Bates Mercantile Co.
Photos representing what I love about the city.....
{new york and dublin being two of my favorites}
...and what I love about the country.
When I'm done with photos, I MUST clear my desk. It looks like a tornado swept through.
Baked some homemade bread last night. Had some with a pinterest recipe I tried....think mushrooms, mozzarella all melted with fresh herbs. I'll try to share in the next couple of days.
By the way, it's small business Saturday today and Moday is CyberMonday. You can receive 20% off prints, photographs, calendars and stationery in the Bates Mercantile Co. store through Monday. Just use ThankYou20 couponcode at checkout.
Off I go. Have a great day,
Amazing photos! Your bread sounds amazing, I look forward to hearing more about how you made it! Have a great weekend.

oh thank you valerie, you're sweet. the bread came out pretty very nice. i am not a 'baker' girl so when i actually succeed it makes me happy. the bread recipe is from a jamie oliver cookbook that i love. it's pretty straightforward. sure did taste good.
DeleteHave just made myself my weekly batch of my version of a French baguette loaf. Use a baguette recipe but make it up as one big loaf. Freeze half, while I eat the other: then unfreeze and eat the remainder. Find it lasts me a week and is a darn sight cheaper than buying bread off the shelf!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, just won first prize in a Handicraft competition - made me feel like being on Cloud 9! Check it out at www.ColdhamCuddliescalling.blogspot.com if you have a moment while clearing your desk!
All the best for the coming holiday preparations! Isobel
First prize! FANTASTIC Isobel! congrats to you.
Deleteyou're very good making your bread each week. i'll have to see if i can find my bread making groove.
