Sunshine on My Shoulders

via Pamela J. Bates

Makes Me Happy

Well, lookie here. Bonnie over at {PaperKeeper} passed along the Sunshine Award to me. How fun. Thank you 'mam for thinking of me.

Now I get to play along! It's a fun way for you to get to know a little more about me.

Here's the Sunshine Award guidelines:
1. Link the award to the person who gave it to you.
2. Answer the questions that come with it.
3. Pay it forward by nominating several blogs you enjoy by posting a link to their page (on your page) and comment on their blog to let them know they’ve been nominated.

Just in case you missed it the first time, you'll find Bonnie here-- blog-- and here-- making and selling really awesome organizational must haves.

Onto the question and answer segment of our program:

1. Favorite Color:  I have a hard time with this question. There are just so many colors to choose from and I have a hard time picking just one. I do love blue, have a new affinity for kelly green (it looks really good on me...who knew?), sunshine yellow makes me happy.....the list goes on. And yes, I’m just as bad with a long menu....decisions, decisions.

2. Favorite Animal:  My hound dog. I love dogs. Have always had a dog. Wouldn’t know what to do without a dog. Always had a cat growing up too, and really like cats, but I love my dog. Generally speaking, I love animals and even make my husband participate in the witness relocation program for any mice that find their way into the house.

Too tired to care about me taking pictures.

 3. Favorite Number: Lucky number 4.

4. Favorite Non-Alcoholic Drink :  Mostly I drink soda water with a splash of whatever juice I have on hand. I do love Iced Tea and Lemonade too.

5. Facebook or Twitter:  Well, I’ll have to go with Facebook because I am very new to Twitter (you can find me here so I’m not so lonley https://twitter.com/#!/PamelaJBates )  I’ve connected some really neat people on facebook and I expect the same will be true on Twitter.

6. My Passion:  The people in my life. There is nothing I enjoy more than spending time with the people I love. If there is fun, song and dance involved, even better. If there is music playing I am bound to be singing and dancing. Beyond that I love cooking and am good at it and I’m not sure I would survive if I couldn’t create in some way, whether it’s illustrating or crafting, and it’s not often that I’m without my camera. Oh, and I am completely and utterly passionate about cheese. Apparently I have a lot of passions.

Me and my main squeeze and Lucan.
Damn, might have to revise my favorite color to black.

7. Giving or Receiving:  Both. I love creating special gifts for friends and family, but I am a sucker for opening presents from others. How can that not make you happy?

Giving (to my pal Terese at our annual Christmas Eve Eve celebration, which we now hold in January)

Receiving (as sick as I was, I still look pretty darn happy.

8. Favorite Pattern:  Love me some paisley and anything geometric, like my latest illustration 'In Flux'.

9. Favorite Day of the Week: Friday/Saturday/Sunday triple play. Holla!

10. Favorite Flower: Lilacs, though my roses are in bloom, the peonies have been so fragrant and the lilies are all about to pop. However, lilacs are my absolute favorite.

Passing it along..............First I'd like to thank all of these lovely ladies for sponsoring my giveaway (as well as my husband).  Secondly, it's just nice getting to know them all better thanks to The Muse.  I hope you take a moment to learn more about them. They're pretty awesome.

I'd also like to add Traci from All Things Luci Rae who you can watch on Craft Wars on TLC 6/26 9pm est....if it wasn't for the sewing machine malfunction, she'd be a supa-star!

Now, just one more thing. There is still a little time to:

Entering is easy, and who wouldn't want all of that? Jeeze Louise. Serious boot-TAY.
