Almost Spring & The Time For New Things

The Bright Side

Admit it. You didn't know that baby food jars had a bright side, did you? Well, I'll be honest, I didn't either until I saw this project on 'from panka with love'.

So sweet. Paint dipped baby food jars to hold pretty blossoms. It makes me smile.

I always love all of her projects, but this one is just so darn easy and cute. Plus, the bouquets were screaming Spring so I had to share. I could use a little Spring right now, the time for new things, growth, regeneration.

My etsy friend Pamela Angus, just posted this fairy lights to her shop. Ditto on the sweet factor. I really can't wait to see the apple blossoms bloom, though it's going to be awhile here. These pretty flowers at least make me feel like there is hope.

What? Where are the lights? Right here.

Talking about Spring and growth, I'll be rolling out some new things on Mercantile Muse over the next couple of weeks. This is only possible thanks to the support of people like you. More on that later. Thanks for being here and keeping me company. That really brightens my day.

I hope you enjoyed this brief 'dreaming of Spring' interlude.

ciao for now,

  1. I've been thinking about a project with baby food jars. Trouble is, no babies around my house for many moons. Still, I think I'm going to get some -- jars, not babies!

    1. K, bet you could even up the antee easy enough with small or large mason jars or leftover spaghetti sauce (or whatever) jars. If you can believe it, today of all days, we are finally getting an actual snow storm. have only had a few storms with no more than about 5 inches since the big halloween storm. craziest winter, and just when i was dreaming of spring!

  8. I love those little glasses! What a great idea. I want to pass them onto my sister who is doing her own wedding center pieces, but I don't know if she'll get excited or go Bridezilla on me. She's been a little crazy lately.

    1. crack me up court. maybe you should get her a little toy godzilla and hot glue a little lace veil on it. then again, she might not take it too well. i say, gather up the baby jars and the paint, and invite her for some sistertime and show her how cute. but then again, she's probably not near you right now???? if not, i'd still send her the link. it would be way too cute.
